YOGYAKARTA — Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta ushered in the New Year 2026 with an elegant celebration titled “A Night of Rhapsody”, held at the Kasultanan Ballroom. The festive evening offered guests a refined blend of live music, performance art, curated gastronomy, and a strong sense of togetherness, wrapped in a sophisticated and meaningful atmosphere.

The night opened with an energetic performance by the Centili Dance Group, whose dynamic choreography set an uplifting tone. The program continued with a captivating appearance by Violet Violin, a finalist from a national talent competition, who impressed attendees through her contemporary and expressive violin performance.

Inside the ballroom, the highlight of the entertainment came from Indonesian rock musician Dimas Senopati. Delivering a selection of ten rock and pop songs, he energized the audience while evoking a sense of nostalgia that resonated warmly with the guests.

Celebrations extended beyond the ballroom to the open-air stage area, where DJ Aletta elevated the mood with vibrant beats. Following the New Year’s countdown, DJ Aletta joined forces with the Centili Dance Group for a lively flash mob, creating a moment of shared excitement and unity as guests welcomed the year ahead.

Adding to the festive spirit, a series of attractive door prizes were distributed throughout the evening. These included stay vouchers at several star-rated hotels in Yogyakarta and other cities across Indonesia, further enhancing the excitement of the celebration.

From a culinary perspective, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta presented an array of premium dishes carefully curated for the occasion. International selections such as oriental poultry and meat stations, a Chinese seafood corner, and a slow-roasted giant beef leg stood alongside Indonesian specialties including Magelang’s senerek beef soup, Ambarrukmo mixed rice, roasted lamb, and a variety of traditional delicacies.

As midnight approached, guests were invited to pause for a collective prayer, expressing compassion and solidarity for communities affected by natural disasters in various parts of Indonesia. Although the celebration was held without fireworks, the evening remained intimate, reflective, and emotionally resonant.

Through “A Night of Rhapsody”, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta reaffirmed its dedication to creating New Year celebrations that go beyond entertainment, highlighting shared values of togetherness and care, and offering guests a memorable and meaningful start to the year.
