Ubud, Bali — Bali once again steps onto the global fashion map as Bali Fashion Trend 2025 (BFT 2025) transforms the island into an international stage where fashion, culture, sustainability, and cross-sector collaboration converge.

Taking place from 18 to 21 December 2025 at the prestigious Onyx Park Resort in Ubud, the event is presented by the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) Denpasar Chapter in collaboration with Onyx Park Resort, offering far more than a conventional fashion showcase.

Carrying the overarching theme “Beyond Beauty”, Bali Fashion Trend 2025 reflects a new chapter in contemporary fashion—one that moves beyond surface aesthetics to embrace meaning, values, craftsmanship, and responsible creation.

The event positions itself as one of Indonesia’s most strategic fashion platforms, supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency through the ASIK Program (Acceleration of Indonesian Creative Exports), Viva Cosmetics, Viva Muda, and the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections of the Republic of Indonesia.

The four-day celebration was officially opened by Ari Satria, S.E., MA, Director of Export Development for Services and Creative Products at the Ministry of Trade. In his opening remarks, he emphasized Bali’s role as a meeting point for international designers and buyers, highlighting the event as a gateway for Indonesian creative works to enter global markets.

According to him, Bali Fashion Trend 2025 demonstrates how cultural heritage and innovation can coexist on one runway, reinforcing the international appeal of Indonesia’s fashion identity.

More than 105 designers from Indonesia and abroad take part in BFT 2025, including guest designers from Malaysia, Italy, and Iran, reinforcing the event’s status as a truly international fashion gathering.

Alongside established names, five leading fashion schools are given dedicated space to present the creativity of emerging designers, underlining the event’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Indonesia’s fashion industry.

Set against the lush landscape of Ubud, the runway experience unfolds through curated presentations spanning resort and casual wear, ethnic contemporary collections, evening wear, and modest fashion.

Each collection reflects a dialogue between tradition and modernity, combining Indonesian textiles, Balinese craftsmanship, and contemporary techniques with a global couture sensibility.

Neli Gunawan, Chairwoman of IFC Denpasar Chapter and Head of the BFT 2025 Organizing Committee, stated that Bali Fashion Trend is designed as a meeting ground for global creativity rooted in Indonesian cultural identity.

She explained that the 2025 edition strengthens its curation to deliver a more immersive, innovative, and forward-looking experience, positioning BFT not merely as a fashion show but as a creative ecosystem where culture, business, and innovation intersect.

Sustainability stands at the heart of Bali Fashion Trend 2025, reflected in the use of environmentally conscious materials, low-waste production methods, the empowerment of local artisans, and the promotion of durable, functional design.

This approach aligns with global fashion movements and sends a clear message that the future of fashion must be responsible, inclusive, and deeply connected to its cultural roots.

The event also brings together key strategic institutions, further expanding its impact beyond the runway. Bank Indonesia showcases selected flagship MSME brands from various provinces, while the Ministry of Creative Economy through the ASIK Program curates special sessions aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s creative MSMEs.

Meanwhile, collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections introduces a social dimension to the event, linking fashion creativity with empowerment programs for correctional communities.

Beyond runway presentations, Bali Fashion Trend 2025 features an extensive range of industry-focused activities, including business networking sessions, brand presentations, fashion and art installations, seminars, mini talk sessions, and press conferences.

These initiatives connect designers, industry stakeholders, international buyers, media, and the wider public, reinforcing Bali’s position as a creative hub where fashion, tourism, and business innovation coexist

As the world continues to seek fashion experiences that are meaningful and authentic, Bali Fashion Trend 2025 invites global audiences, industry professionals, and fashion enthusiasts to witness how Indonesian fashion evolves beyond aesthetics.

From 18 to 21 December 2025 at Onyx Park Resort, Ubud, the event stands as a statement that beauty in fashion today is defined not only by what is seen, but by the stories, values, and collaborations woven into every creation.
