Four French Nationals Detained in Ouagadougou Since December 2023 Released Following HM the King's Mediation

Rabat - Following the mediation of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Republic of Burkina Faso, has accepted His request for the release of four French nationals, detained in Ouagadougou since December 2023. It is as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates says on Thursday, 19 December 2024.

This humanitarian act was possible thanks to the excellent ties between His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, and President Traoré and the long-standing good ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Burkina Faso, the Ministry underlined in a press release.

Many parties consider the ability of the King of Morocco, King Mohamed VI, in international relations to be very excellent, and this is an important value for Morocco in helping parties resolve problems between countries and among the international communities. (PERSISMA/Ed)
